Commanders land offensive and defensive help in new 5-round mock draft

The Washington Commanders currently have five picks in this month's 2025 NFL draft. Due to trades for cornerback Marshon Lattimore, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel, Washington has picks in the first, second, fourth, sixth, and seventh rounds.

The Commanders still have needs, specifically at edge rusher. Washington could also use more depth along the offensive and defensive lines, another playmaker on offense, and a cornerback.

Chad Reuter addresses some of those needs in a new five-round mock draft for NFL.com.

Round 1, No. 29 overall: Marshall EDGE Mike Green

While Green chose not to run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine and his pro day, the quickness he displayed during his career at Marshall should be exactly what head coach Dan Quinn is looking to add.

Round 2, No. 61 overall: Ole Miss WR Tre Harris

Harris would give the Commanders more size and speed on the outside. He would be an excellent addition to Washington's wide receiver corps, as he's a different type of player than Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel.

Round 4, No. 128 overall: Florida CB Jason Marshall Jr.

Marshall, a four-year starter in the SEC with excellent measurables, would be a bargain for the Commanders in the fourth round. He possesses the type of experience Washington GM Adam Peters looks for and has plenty of big-game experience, playing against some of college football's best receivers, like Harris, over the past four years.

It would be a surprise if the Commanders remain in these positions in three weeks. Expect Peters to look to move back at some point and accumulate more picks, whether that's in the first or second round. However, if the Commanders stayed put and came away with this haul, they would have added three players who could help them immediately. Landing Green at No. 29 would be huge for Washington, as he would immediately give the pass rush more juice.
