Broncos have a refreshing energy around team in 2025

After years of misery for the Denver Broncos and their fans, the franchise appeared to get back on track in 2024.

In his second year on the job, coach Sean Payton drafted quarterback Bo Nix and helped lead the Broncos to a 10-7 record, securing their first playoff berth since the 2015 season. With their coach and quarterback sorted, the franchise seems to be truly trending up for the first time since Peyton Manning's retirement.

“I think [fan excitement] is really special," Broncos president Damani Leech said at the NFL's Annual League Meeting in Florida on Monday. "That is when you are in your neighborhood, you’re around friends, you’re at the grocery store, whatever, and you’re meeting people for the first time, and they talk about [positive changes] and what they’ve noticed particularly with ownership and them driving change.

"What they see by bringing in a great head coach and having a great general manager and now a great, young quarterback and this team coming together — but all the things we’re doing around the club from fans and also from business partners. Particularly existing sponsors and partners and then new ones who now want to come on board and be a part of it because they see what’s happening — the energy and the transformation around the franchise is refreshing.”

Winning cures all.

Denver will now look to build on its positive momentum from 2024 and take another step forward in Nix's second season under Payton in the NFL. Broncos fans are excited about the team again -- and the positive energry will last as long as the wins continue.
