Brandin Cooks highlights his favorite trait of new Saints coach Kellen Moore

Kellen Moore's versatility and maximizing talent have been a constant description of his offensive mentality since his name began to circulate around the New Orleans Saints head coaching vacancy. After being signed by the Saints, Brandin Cooks joined the list of people who highlighted that trait in Moore's offenses.

After evaluating Moore's offense, Cooks' takeaway was "Just how he uses everyone. Even when he was with the Cowboys, Chargers. He used all of his pieces. He used all of his pieces to their strength. Not just the receivers but the backs. He has a unique balance from his pass game and his run game."

While it may seem like a simple concept, there are many times where we see teams not use players to their strengths. Saints fans witnessed that first hand with expeditious growth of Zach Baun after he left New Orleans.

The Saints have talented weapons on offense, and now that list includes Cooks. Chris Olave is a rising player. Rashid Shaheed is already an elite deep threat entering his fourth season. The frustration around Juwan Johnson is he's been a player who has been marked by his potential for years. The ability to maximize from a coaching standpoint should greatly impact players on an individual level.

Moore's flexibility in his approach allows him to approach his offense as the aspect that needs to fit around the players and not the other way around. The way Moore is described and the talent of the Saints have the makings of an exciting offense.
