The Arizona Cardinals clearly are heavily considering either a defensive tackle or an edge rusher in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft. We know of top-30 meetings that have either occurred or will occur with such prospects as Mykel Williams, Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. Add Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen to the list.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Nolen has a number of top-30 meeting scheduled with a number of teams coming up including the Cardinals. He met with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday and has the Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers coming up.
Nolen is one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the draft and might be the second one taken after Michigan's Mason Graham, who is expected to be perhaps a top-five pick in the draft.
Nolen is nearly 6-foot-4 and 296 pounds. He was an All-American last season with 48 tackles 6.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss. He is a dynamic playmaker and disruptor.
He is a player worthy of the No. 16 pick, adding youth and talent to a very deep defensive line room.
