5 wide receivers the Arizona Cardinals could target in Rounds 1-2 of NFL draft

The NFL draft is later this month and the Arizona Cardinals will be putting together their player rankings. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah recently updated his top 50 players and we broke the top 50 down by position.

As the Cardinals have different positional needs, let's take a look at each position group and who might be a target with either of their two top picks, No. 16 and No. 47 overall.

Let's look at the wide receiver, a position where the Cardinals still have questions. They drafted Marvin Harrison Jr. fourth overall last year and brought back Zay Jones this offseason and tendered Greg Dorth, but a receiver in the draft would not be out of the question.

In Jeremiah's top 50 players, five are receivers.

Wide receivers in Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 prospects

  1. Travis Hunter, Colorado: No. 2 overall
  2. Matthew Golden, Texas: No. 16 overall
  3. Emeka Egbuka, Ohio state: No. 17 overall
  4. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona: No. 18 overall
  5. Luther Burden III, Missouri: No. 33 overall

Who could the Cardinals get?

Hunter will not be on the board. He is the favorite to be drafted second overall. Everyone else could be in play.

Golden would be a sneaky good fit for what the Cardinals could use at the position as he offers elite route running, separation and high-end speed.

Egbuka should be great, as Ohio State receivers just are great. McMillan might be a top-10 pick. He also might drop, depending on how teams feel about him.

Burden had an alarming drop in production in 2024 despite having the same quarterback. But he has all the tools.

If the Cardinals don't take a receiver 16th overall, all these guys will likely be off the board by the time their second-round pick comes up.
