4-star DL projected to commit to Georgia football

The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to land a commitment from four-star defensive/offensive lineman Pierre "PJ" Dean. On3's recruiting expert, Steve Wiltfong, likes for Georgia to win Dean's commitment over the Ohio State Buckeyes and South Carolina Gamecocks.

Dean, who recently announced his top three schools, is a highly touted recruit in the class of 2026. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive lineman plays high school football for West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina.

The four-star is ranked as the No. 63 recruit in the nation, per Rivals. Dean is the fifth-best recruit in North Carolina and the fifth-best defensive lineman in the country.

Georgia tight end Lawson Luckie (7) goes to while trying to avoid a tackle from Georgia defensive back Dan Jackson (17) during the G-Day spring football game in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

"After talking with a source that has knowledge of the recruitment I’ve predicted Georgia to land Dean," said Wiltfong. "His process continues but UGA is the one I think is setting the pace."

Dean would be a nice addition to Georgia's recruiting class. Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have a long way to go in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Georgia currently has five commitments and the No. 25 recruiting class in the nation. UGA has one defensive line commitment in three-star junior college standout Seven Cloud.
