Georgia football lands commitment from 2026 in-state defensive back

Before Georgia football’s 2025 team was on display Saturday at G-Day, the Bulldogs landed a commitment from a player for 2026 and beyond.

Kealan Jones, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety from Sprayberry High in Marietta, announced his pledge to the Bulldogs on his X account.

Jones is a three-star rated prospect by the 247Sports Composite.

He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 32 safety and No. 412 prospect overall

Jones picked the Bulldogs over Florida, Georgia Tech, Michigan, and Duke, according to Dawgs247.

Jones is the sixth commitment in the Bulldogs 2026 recruiting class and second defensive back, joining four-star Zech Fort from IGM Acacemy in Bradenton, Fla.
