Over 10 Georgia football players expected to miss the spring game

The Georgia Bulldogs will be without several key players for their spring football game on Saturday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. ET. G-Day, which won't be televised, will offer one final glimpse for fans into the Georgia football program ahead of the fall.

"We're pretty healthy," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said on a radio interview with 680 The Fan ahead of Georgia's spring game. "We've got a couple of kids that are out, but we've got the numbers we need to divide into two teams. It'll be at 1 o'clock, and the format will be very similar to what we've done in the past. We're going to play a game and let guys go compete."

Georgia is expected to be without five players that underwent labrum surgery this offseason, which leaves Georgia pretty thin in the trenches. Georgia is also thin at running back with both Branson Robinson and Roderick Robinson expected to miss the spring game.

Two more Georgia players are out with ACL injuries in quarterback Ryan Montgomery (suffered injury Aug. 2024) and punter Brett Thorson (suffered injury Dec. 2024). Both players are hoping to return for the fall.
