Bills GM Brandon Beane both praised and held his players accountable while speaking to the press following the end of the 2024 NFL season.
He also forecasted which ones need to step up this offseason to contribute on the field this upcoming year.
With that, here are 10 Bills players who could have bigger roles in 2025:
TE Dawson Knox
Knox had one of his most efficient seasons in 2024 and was a team leader on and off the field, yet was underutilized at times in Joe Brady's offense.
With Dalton Kincaid's progression taking a slight step back from his breakout rookie season, leaning on Knox a bit more in the passing game to use Josh Allen's longest tenured and experienced target more would make sense.
WR Curtis Samuel
Samuel inked a three-year deal to reunite with Joe Brady and catch passes from Josh Allen. His first year getting acclimated didn't go as hoped, but he did show the very types of abilities and plays he's capable of late in the Bills' 2024 campaign.
With the addition of Josh Palmer as well as a year back in Brady's system and in Allen's passing game under his belt, Samuel could see things open up on the field for him to take on an increased role in 2025.
TE Dalton Kincaid
Being a receiving tight end who had a strong rookie campaign that set some franchise marks, much of the buzz going into last season was around Kincaid and what he might do in his second season. While servicable, he did not have the impact he did in his first year with Buffalo and experienced some injuries during the season.
With a dedicated offseason program and some work, however, Kincaid, like Samuel and receiver Keon Coleman, figures to benefit from the addition of Josh Palmer as well and could take on a greater role.
S Cole Bishop
Bishop got to see the field in his rookie year with Buffalo and had some good levels of competitive play, and Beane made it publicly known not long after last season ended that the safety would be given more opportunities to take the next step at the pro level in his second season.
WR Keon Coleman
Coleman had a decent rookie season, but was asked at times to try and fill the void of a dedicated perimeter player and deep threat that the Bills lacked.
He did show some good flashes of why they drafted him with their top pick last year, and like Kincaid, could take the next step in his progression and an increased role with a strong offseason of development.
RB Ray Davis
Ray Davis had a good showing across limited action in his rookie season. As the Bills move forward, he figures to continue to ...
