Harris wins Maryland
Vice President Harris has won Maryland, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
Harris's victory in the deep-blue state was expected. President Biden sailed to victory in the Old Line State in 2020, beating former President Trump by almost 35 points.
Adding to Harris's favor was a measure on this year's ballot that would enshrine abortion rights into the state constitution. Abortion is legal at all stages of pregnancy in Maryland, though Democrats were hoping the measure would further harness voters' energy amid a competitive Senate race in the state between Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks and former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R).
Maryland awards the winner 10 electoral votes.
