Dragon Age: The Veilguard - What Is The Best Faction To Join?
Dragon Age: The Veilguard has six factions that you can join at the start of the game. You're prompted with a choice during character creation, and you can no longer make any changes once the campaign begins. As such, you might be wondering which organization is the right one for you. Here's our guide on the best faction in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
What is the best faction to join in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
While it might sound like a cop-out answer, the best faction in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the one that you prefer for role-playing and aesthetics. That's because you're going to encounter all these groups throughout the campaign, and you're likely to boost your reputation levels with them.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard faction strength and basic mechanics
Here are a few things to remember regarding factions and faction strength in Dragon Age: The Veilguard:
- The six factions in the game are: The Grey Wardens, Veil Jumpers, Shadow Dragons, Lords of Fortune, Mourn Watch, and Antivan Crows.
- The faction you select at the start of the campaign provides you with passive perks and bonuses. Likewise, there are instances where you might notice additional dialogue options depending on the faction that you're part of.
- Each faction has a base of operations in a particular city or region. Most of the quests that you complete in a specific region also increase the strength of the group that controls it.
- The companions you recruit belong to a faction as well. Some of their personal quests boost faction strength, too.
- Increasing your faction strength--i.e. reputation--allows you to unlock higher ranks for the quartermaster shop. Doing so lets you purchase more equipment, materials, and even transmog cosmetics.
- The higher the faction's strength, the better the outcome once you tackle the campaign's finale. As such, it's imperative that you do a lot of quests.
