Why did the Boston Celtics trade away champion forward Cedric Maxwell? Sure, they got back Hall of Fame big man Bill Walton, but the Portland Trail Blazers center was constantly sitting on the bench while healing up from yet another injury, and Maxwell was part of two titles with the Celtics, famously putting the team on his back to win one of them as that year's finals Most Valuable Player.
