Where Tennessee baseball ranks after losing first SEC series

Tennessee (28-4, 9-3 SEC) enters its fifth week in SEC play during the 2025 baseball season. In the Vols' fourth SEC series, Texas A&M defeated Tennessee, 2-1, to claim a series win at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee will return to action on Tuesday against Alabama State. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The nonconference matchup can be watched on SEC Network+.

Ole Miss will host the Vols, Friday-Sunday, for a three-game series. Friday's series opener is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT, while Saturday's game No. 2 will take place at 5 p.m. EDT. Both contests can be watched on SEC Network+.

First pitch for the series finale between the Vols and Rebels is slated for 3 p.m. EDT and will be televised by SEC Network.

Ahead of Tennessee hosting Alabama State and playing at Ole Miss, the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll was released. The Vols are down three spots to No. 4.
