Where Lady Vols rank in final 2025 basketball poll

Tennessee finished its first season under head coach Kim Caldwell with a 24-10 (8-8 SEC) record. The Lady Vols advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

No. 1 seed Texas eliminated No. 5 seed Tennessee, 67-59, in the Sweet 16.

Following the NCAA Tournament, Caldwell received a contract extension through March 31, 2030.

"I am grateful for Danny's (White) continued trust and belief in me after a foundational first season here at Tennessee," Caldwell said. "I am very proud of our players and staff for the effort they put in and for what we accomplished together. I look forward to getting back to work, finding ways we can improve our program and continuing to take the steps necessary to compete for championships."

The final 2025 USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll was released Monday after UConn defeated South Carolina, 82-59, in the national championship game.
