AUBURN — For the first time this season, Auburn baseball is listed as a top-10 bunch.
The Tigers won their third SEC series of the year over the weekend, beating then-No. 8 Alabama in the series-opener and finale, with a 10-7 result in seven innings and 7-5 finish, respectively.
As a result, they've bumped up to No. 9 in Baseball America's listing, while sitting no lower than No. 12 in any other national poll. Auburn came in at No. 12 in the latest USA TODAY Coaches Poll, jumping four spots. The Crimson Tide remained in the top 10, dropping two spots.
In-state foe Troy, whom the Tigers beat in an early season midweek contest, remained ranked for the second-straight week, holding firm at No. 21.
