What is the Rams' biggest remaining need after free agency?

The Los Angeles Rams still have work to do after the first wave of free agency spending.

While Los Angeles added key players like receiver Davante Adams and defensive tackle Poona Ford, the Rams' biggest needs remain unsolved with more than a month before the 2025 NFL Draft. Areas like linebacker, cornerback, receiver and offensive line could still use depth or starters.

There are a few different positions of need left for Los Angeles, but Pro Football Focus' Max Chadwick believes the Rams' biggest issue remains at cornerback because of the team's current depth chart of Darious Williams, Cobie Durant and Emmanuel Forbes Jr.

"The Rams have struggled to replace Jalen Ramsey since trading him to the Miami Dolphins two years ago," Chadwich wrote. "None of the cornerbacks on their roster posted a 65.0-plus PFF overall grade last season."

Multiple mock drafts have the Rams taking cornerback with one of their first three picks, including the No. 26 pick. Texas' Jahdae Barron, Kentucky's Maxwell Hairston, Kansas' Mello Dotson and East Carolina's Shavon Revel have been the most predicted players to land in L.A., but the Rams could also decide to just bring back Ahkello Witherspoon as the team's starting cornerback for 2025.

Whatever the Rams decide, it stands to reason the team will at some point address the position. The NFC West will remain competitive with Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy and Kyler Murray, and the Rams are still looking to return to the Super Bowl. They'll need a lockdown secondary to do that in 2025.
