VOTE: Three nominations for Mohawk Valley Athlete of the Week
Welcome to the Times Telegram and Observer-Dispatch reader poll for a top Mohawk Valley area high school athlete for the week of March 10-16, 2025.
Senior basketball players Lanni Dyn from Central Valley Academy and Alexis Kress from Little Falls have won voting the last two weeks as winter competition within Section III wrapped up. Voting for Week 27 is down to players on three area teams that won titles and advanced to the state's regional basketball playoffs.
A weekly list of athlete of the week nominees will be compiled by our sports department with information provided to the Times Telegram and the Observer-Dispatch by coaches and athletic directors through emails and other contacts.
If a top performer’s name doesn’t appear on the list, encourage their coach or athletic director to email submissions to sports@timestelegram.com or sports@uticaod.com.
Online voting is open to readers and continues until the Cooperstown girls tip off against Stillwater at Hudson Valley Community College Thursday at 6 p.m. A winner is scheduled to be announced Friday morning on the TimesTelegram.com and UticaOD.com websites.
This Week's Nominees:
JACKSON CRISMAN, Cooperstown basketball: Junior led previously unbeaten Hawkeyes with 14 points and seven rebounds in season-ending regional playoff loss to Moravia.
BRENNA SEAMON, Cooperstown basketball: Senior followed MVP performance in Class C sectional tournament with team-high 18 points and six rebounds in 55-48 regional playoff victory over Delaware Academy of Delhi.
