Travis Kelce Slams ‘Nonsense’ Claims About His Personal Life

Travis Kelce may have a lot going on between his NFL career, his charity work, and his relationship with Taylor Swift — but he wanted to make sure to clear up (and vehemently shut down) the latest rumor zipping around online.

The Kansas City tight end, 35, usually keeps his New Heights podcast — which he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce — light-hearted, full of zingers and intense knowledge of the sport. (Jason retired from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023.) But on the Wednesday, April 9 episode of the show, Travis got a little more serious.

“I gotta make a little statement in the ‘don’t believe everything you read, kids’ category or nice realm that you see online,” the three-time Super Bowl champ told his listeners. “Some false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not, and I’m not even gonna talk about it specifically. I don’t want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff.”

Though Travis purposely left out specifics in his statement, for the sake of context, it appears that he is talking about the organization Foster Love, which originally claimed that Kelce donated $3.3 million to help homeless youth. The post has since been deleted.

On the pod, Travis ensured that the truth of his charitable work is through his foundation, 87 and Running. According to the organization’s official website, the nonprofit “empowers disadvantaged youth to achieve success by providing resources and support to their communities and cultivating their talent in the areas of education, business, athletics, STEM, and the arts.”

If fans “ever want to know exactly what I’m doing in the community, just go to 87running.org,” Travis explained. “We’re always trying to get out there in and get in the Kansas City communities and the Cleveland community [his hometown]. But this time, I wasn’t doing what was falsely claimed by the social channels or the outlets posting all this A.I. stuff. So, just wanted to set the record straight.”
