There are a record number of left handers playing in the 2025 Masters

A record number of left-handers are playing in the 2025 Masters.

Eight lefties are teeing it up at Augusta National this year, which is a new record. Three of the six have won a green jacket, all since Mike Weir broke through in 2003. Then Phil Mickelson added green jackets in 2004, 2006 and 2010. Bubba Watson then added a pair in 2012 and 2014.

Joining the three champions in this year's field are Brian Harman, winner of the Valero Texas Open last week. Then there's Matt McCarty, Joe Highsmith, Robert MacIntyre and Akshay Bhatia.

The remaining five have all won PGA Tour events in the last year, and as the three champs have shown, there's a secret to success for left-handed players at the Masters.
