Amateurs are a big part of the celebrated history at the Masters, and this year there have been plenty of storylines related to the ams.
Josele Ballester had plenty of moments Thursday, from his hat to peeing in Rae's Creek. Noah Kent hit his opening tee shot 377 yards. Hiroshi Tai was the clubhouse leader for the ams after a birdie on 18 to finish his first round.
However, it was not a week for the amateurs. Their experience at Augusta National Golf Club this year is over.
