The Tennessee Titans have made a concerted effort to improve their offensive line this offseason. Tennessee spent millions of dollars bringing in Dan Moore, Kevin Zeitler and Blake Hance to improve a unit that struggled in 2024. In fact, to say they struggled might be generous.
The left side of the offensive line wasn't really the problem; they weren’t great, but they were a lot better than the right side. Heading into 2025 with the additions of Moore and Zeitler, that side will look completely different, with JC Latham sliding in at right tackle.
What does that mean for the 2024 starters, Dillon Radunz and Nicholas Petit-Frere? One of them has moved on. Rudunz departed as an unrestricted free agent, signing a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. That leaves Petit-Frere and his $3.4 million salary on the roster heading into the season.
With such a high base salary and a lack of playing time after failing to seize his opportunities, many fans have speculated that Petit-Frere could find himself on the move before the start of the season. Reporter Paul Kuharsky caught up with general manager Mike Borgonzi at the NFL Owners Meetings and this is what he said about Petit-Frere.

“I see him competing in camp for one of those spots,” the GM said. “Maybe it’s the swing tackle role at this point. But he’ll be in there competing.”
Petit-Frere would have to greatly improve to solidify a spot as the swing tackle this season. He will likely have to battle Hance for that back-up tackle position and fight every week for a helmet.
In 2024, he started 10 games, but split time in some of those and was totally replaced in two others due to subpar play. In fact, he might not have lasted that long if the Titans had anything close to a starting caliber tackle on the roster behind him. The Titans went through multiple bodies trying to fill that hole, but couldn’t find anyone to step up and the line was a disaster all season.
Petit-Frere has survived so far, but with the draft ahead the Titans may decide to add some young competition to the roster. That, coupled with Moore and Latham filling out the starting tackle positions, Petit-Frere might be the odd man out.
