Apr. 12—SAUK RAPIDS — Two days, two wins.
The Bemidji High School baseball team is off to a 2-0 start this season after beating Sauk Rapids-Rice 7-1 on Saturday on the road.
Jack Lundquist singled in a run to open the scoring in the top of the first inning. Reece Dokken and Lawson Berg walked and were hit by a pitch, respectively, to make it 3-0 in the top of the third inning. Berg later scored on a double steal.
Kobe Brown scored on a throwing error in the top of the fourth before Stonewall Gessner singled in a run.
The Storm added a run on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Gunner Ganske threw four shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three batters in the win.
