We have another black stripe alert! Offensive lineman Simon Lorentz has been officially welcomed to the Ohio State Brotherhood after shedding his black stripe earlier this week.
Lorentz joined the Buckeyes as a preferred walk-on in June of 2024. Growing up in Dover, Ohio it was a lifelong dream to wear the Scarlet and Gray. Lorentz was a four-year letterman at Dover High School where he was a starter for two seasons and was named First Team All-State in Division III after his senior year. He also played on the defensive side of the ball where he racked up 85 career tackles along with five sacks. Lorentz is currently getting third-team reps at center behind Carson Hinzman and Josh Padilla as a second-year player.

We always love to see walk-ons getting some love. They typically don't see the accolades and have to work twice as hard as everyone else. Welcome to the Brotherhood.
