Social Media reacts to Oklahoma Sooners' sweep of Arkansas Razorbacks
The Oklahoma Sooners remained undefeated after their first SEC road trip of the season, sweeping the Arkanas Razorbacks in Fayetteville. The Sooners earned a 10-7 victory on Sunday to break out the brooms in front of a great crowd.
The Sooners may be in a new conference, but the winning remains the same. This team may have a ton of new faces, but they're still winning a ton of games. Since their championship run began in 2021, the Oklahoma Sooners have gone 261-15 for a .945 winning percentage. The Oklahoma Sooners are 79-7 in conference play since the beginning of 2021.
Oklahoma is relying on emerging stars like redshirt freshman third baseman Nelly McEnroe Marinas and true freshman shortstop Gabbie Garcia, who came up huge all weekend long against Arkansas. In the circle, Sam Landry has become the ace of the staff. In three appearances, Landry threw 11.1 innings and didn't allow a run against one of the most dangerous lineups in all of softball.
There may be more significant challenges ahead with series against Texas and Florida down the line, but the Sooners continue to prove that they are one of the best teams in all of college softball. Patty Gasso's putting on a coaching and development display before our eyes with one of the youngest teams in the nation.
It was another fantastic weekend for OU Softball and here's how social media reacted.

Patty Gasso's the GOAT for a Reason
My wife said the annoucer said Patty hasn’t had to do a lot of teaching the past few years. She’s just had players that knew what to do.
— 2024 OU Softball HR Tracker (@HRtrackerSports) March 15, 2025
I think Ella, Nelly, Kasidi, Hannah etc are proof that Patty didn’t quite teaching.

Sam Landry was Impressive All Weekend
Sam Landry shutting out this Arkansas team that has been deadly on offense is just astonishing. She's getting better as the season goes on.

She's Been Dominant
A few weeks ago I made a comment about this softball team missing a dominate ace pitcher. Sam Landry told me to hold her beer 🤣
