Social media reacts to Alabama's route of Kentucky in SEC Tournament quarterfinals
The Alabama Crimson Tide were back in action Friday night for the SEC Tournament quarterfinals in Nashville, Tennessee, facing off against the Kentucky Wildcats for what was the third time this season.
With the Crimson Tide winning both previous meetings, Friday night would however be no different, as Alabama controlled the game from the very start, and eventually cruised to a dominant 99-70 win over the Wildcats. In the win, Alabama received some massive showings from the likes of Labaron Philon, Mouhamed Dioubate, and Jarin Stevenson, while also doing a good job defensively against a solid Kentucky offensive team.
As a result of the win, Alabama now advances to the SEC Tournament semifinals Saturday afternoon, where the Crimson Tide will play a highly-anticipated contest against the No. 2 seeded Florida Gators.
Taking a look back at Friday night however, here is a look at what some said on social media about Alabama's impressive win against Kentucky.

5-point W on the road
13-point W at home
29-point W at a neutral site
Have averaged 99 points with a low of 96. Think we’ve seen everything we’ve needed to see with this matchup.
Kentucky’s 29-point loss to Alabama tonight is the program’s most lopsided defeat at the SEC Tournament in at least the KenPom era — dating back to 1997 — and perhaps ever.

This is going to be the most anticipated SEC Tournament final four ever:
— Blake Lovell (@theblakelovell) March 15, 2025
• Auburn (28-4) vs. Tennessee (26-6)
• Florida (28-4) vs. Alabama (25-7)
Four of the top six teams in KenPom. Every single team in the No. 1 seed discussion for the NCAAT.
It just means more.
