Robert Sanchez’ shocking stats vs Ipswich: Enzo Maresca persists with biggest mistake so far

Enzo Maresca is making a huge mistake by persisting with Robert Sanchez as his number one, with shocking stats from yesterday.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea only managing to draw 2-2 at home with Ipswich Town yesterday, a team who are destined to be in the Championship again next season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea ARE looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer and have world class name on the table!! 👀

One BBC pundit has pinned the blame on the players for the draw yesterday, saying that they have to take a long hard look at themselves after that poor performance.

And head coach Enzo Maresca has also picked out two of his players for making some mistakes in the game which he believes was not good enough and cost them.

Overall though it was so poor, and blame really must be shared between the head coach, the manager, and those who have built an unbalanced squad at Chelsea that severely lacks quality experience and balance.

Robert Sanchez conceded two goals but really it was his terrible distribution that has been highlighted once again.

Football Fancast have the shocking Sanchez verdict and stats in their review on the game.

Connor Holden of the Fancast writes:

‘One of the worst performers for Chelsea once more was the man between the sticks. Sanchez has had a shocking spell between the sticks this term and it only got worse when the Tractor Boys came to town.

‘Sanchez only made two saves in the game, of course, conceded two goals and only completed 64% of his passes, often putting his own teammates under pressure.

‘The 27-year-old had 35 touches and only completed one of his nine long balls attempted. Not only did he put Chelsea under pressure when playing out from the back, but he also didn’t save the Blues to make up for it when Ipswich did get chances, conceding two goals from four shots on target.’
