Apr. 2—HARTSELLE — Hartselle defeated Decatur 10-4 in baseball action Tuesday to take a 1-0 area series lead over the Red Raiders.
The Tigers built a 10-1 through the first six innings and held off a small Decatur rally in the final inning to snag the win.
Cruise Baker continued to stay hot at the plate for Hartselle, finishing with two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs.
Ty Marsh and Braden Weathers each added two hits and an RBI for the Tigers. Trey Greenwell led Decatur with two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.
