That settles that.
New York Jets general manager Darren Mougey gave a stern and straightforward answer on Justin Fields from the NFL owners meetings in Florida this week.
Mougey met with reporters, and of all the messages he sent out, his stance on Fields was the most direct. Mougey called Fields his starting quarterback in 2025.
While the door might not be closed on the No. 7 overall selection in relation to picking at quarterback at the 2025 NFL draft, that player won't have as good of a look as starting from Day 1. The fast lane belongs to Fields.
