Undefeated in conference play, the Crowder Demons will look to reach the mountaintop in this year’s Pitt 8 Tournament.
Crowder (5-3, 4-0 Pitt 8) earned finished third in last year’s tournament following an 8-0 win over Savanna and will enter this year as the tournament’s three seed.
The Demons began the season 4-0 with victories against Pittsburg, Indianola, Savanna and first-round rival Haileyville. In all of their victories this season, Crowder beat its opponents by an average of 10 runs. The Demons will look to regain momentum after dropping three of their last four games.
Crowder faced the six seed Warriors in their first game of the season March 3 and won 13-1 on the back of Haileyville’s 10 surrendered walks. The Demons outhit the Warriors 4-3 and three players recorded two RBIs.
From 2020-2023, Crowder won the Pitt 8 Tournament and they will look to get back to the top starting with a rematch against Haileyville at 3 p.m. Thursday at Haileyville.
