A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was left with a nasty gash on his leg during the club’s latest training session.
The player in question? Federico Valverde.
Real Madrid are of course currently in the thick of preparations for a return to action on Sunday.
Fresh off a pair of damaging back-to-back defeats at the hands of Valencia and Arsenal, Los Blancos will make the trip to Deportivo Alavés, for a La Liga clash.
The aforementioned Valverde, for his part, will be expected to feature from the off at Mendizorroza, be it at right-back, or in his favoured berth in the middle of the park.
As alluded to above, though, amid his preparatory efforts on Friday, the Uruguayan was evidently on the receiving end of a heavy challenge.
