A headline member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is expected to miss his side’s Club World Cup campaign this summer.
That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Éder Militão as the player in question.
Stopper Militão has for his part of course been sidelined since back in early November last year.
This comes after the Brazilian, just over a year on from suffering a ruptured ACL in his left knee, was condemned to another lengthy spell out of action by way of the same injury in his right knee.
Despite the devastating nature of the setback, Militão is understood to be enjoying a solid recovery, ahead of schedule in his efforts to return to the grass.
Some outlets, in fact, had gone as far as to point towards the possibility of the former Porto man playing his part in this summer’s Club World Cup.
This, however, will not be the case.
As per AS:
‘The Brazilian won’t be available for the Club World Cup, but he will be in perfect condition to compete for a starting spot in the upcoming pre-season.’
