What happened during Alabama football's 2025 A-Day event? Reactions from social media

The Alabama Crimson Tide held their annual A-Day event Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in a 90-minute practice session in front of fans and media to close the 2025 spring football practice calendar.

Quite a few things took place that had fans and reporters buzzing. For starters, wide receiver Germie Bernard connected with Miami Hurricanes transfer receiver Isaiah Horton for a long 75-yard touchdown on a double pass.

As expected, of the quarterbacks battling for Alabama's starting QB job, all three made an appearance. Redshirt junior Ty Simpson took the field first with the rest of the first-team offense. Austin Mack followed Simpson and made an appearance with Alabama's second-team offense.

Mack threw an interception when Zabien Brown picked off a deep pass. A redshirt sophomore who committed to the Washington Huskies before following Kalen DeBoer to Alabama last season, Mack threw a second interception when class of 2025 3-star linebacker Abduall Sanders picked off a pass on another series.

True freshman and 5-star quarterback Keelon Russell, ranked the No. 2 QB in the class of 2025 by 247Sports and On3, also threw an interception (to 4-star safety Ivan Taylor from the class of 2025) in Saturday's practice, per the Birmingham News' Matt Stahl.

Here's a look at what happened at Alabama's 2025 A-Day event from those who were inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
