MONDAY
Boys Lacrosse
Pensacola Catholic 17, Booker T. Washington 2: The Crusaders topped the Wildcats at home.
Wyatt Hart led Pensacola Catholic with a six-point performance, tallying five goals and an assist. Jax Lagergren posted three goals and two assists for a five-point night. Hudson Mitchell (1 goal, 2 assists), Parker Hager (1 goal, 2 assists), Jacob Smith-Gutenmann (1 goal, 2 assists), Michael Tully (1 goal, 1 assist) and Harvey Laidlaw (1 goal, 1 assist) all had multi-point games. Pierce Hopson, Hampton Stacy, Alex Mitchell and Christian Jairala all rounded out the scoring. Jack Phillips added an assist.
In net, Max Baer made two saves on three shots in 36 minutes of action. Noah Watkins, in 12 minutes of action, also stopped two of three shots.
Donivan Alexander posted a goal and an assist for the Wildcats. Henry Minard tallied a goal.
In net, Camden Miller made 20 saves on 37 shots.
Booker T. (4-8) hosts Pensacola on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Pensacola Catholic (13-2) takes on West Florida on Friday for its regular-season finale.
Girls Lacrosse
South Walton 11, Gulf Breeze 10: The Dolphins fell in a nail-biter to the Seahawks.
Stats for Gulf Breeze were not reported yet.
Gulf Breeze (8-6) hosts Navarre on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Navarre 17, Niceville 16: The Raiders returned to the win column with an overtime thriller over the Eagles.
Niceville led 10-7 after the first half before Navarre potted nine goals in the second frame to tie the game up. Rozlyn Palmer scored the golden goal in the OT period to win the game.
Palmer led the Raiders with six goals and two assists on the night. Lacey Riley (2 goals, 2 assists) and Marialys Dekom (4 goals) had four-point games. Lauren Mavity (2 goals, 1 assist), Lainey Durden (2 goals, 1 assist) and Blakely Marshall (2 assists) tallied multi-point nights. Kerry Mavity rounded out the scoring, while Gabrielle Cover added an assist.
In net, Kaylin Gonzalez stopped four shots in 24 minutes. Jenna Bauridel made one save in 24 minutes.
Navarre (12-3) heads to Gulf Breeze on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a district contest.
Baseball
Booker T. Washington 16, Pensacola 8: The Wildcats won a high-scoring affair against the Tigers.
Booker T. Washington took a 4-0 advantage after the first inning before Pensacola scored all of its runs in the second frame. Booker T. took over from there with six runs in the bottom of the second, plus two runs in the third, fourth and sixth frames.
Nick Freeman led Booker T. with three hits, including a triple, plus four runs and three RBIs. Lucas Parkhurst singled with two runs and an RBI. JJ Startzel and Martin Manzano both tallied a hit with ...
