Ole Miss CB Trey Amos confirms pre-draft visit with Steelers

Look out, Jaxson Dart—you aren’t the only Ole Miss prospect on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ radar, as Mississippi Rebels CB Trey Amos broke some interesting draft news with insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Making an appearance on NFL Network’s The Insiders, Amos stated that starting Sunday, he had visits lined up with the Eagles, Bills, Cardinals, Buccaneers, and Steelers.

The young CB prospect is widely regarded to be a second-round pick, and it would be interesting to see if the Pittsburgh Steelers attempt to trade back into the round—after sending their 52nd overall pick to the Seahawks in exchange for star WR DK Metcalf.

Amos' impressive press-coverage skills could easily make him the CB 1-B of the future opposite Joey Porter Jr., who is also due for a breakout year in 2025 under the mentorship of newly acquired veteran CB Darius Slay.

Are the Pittsburgh Steelers looking to shake up their 2025 NFL Draft plans to jump back into the second round—or is Amos’ visit simply scheduled on the slim chance that he slides into the third round, right into the Steel City’s lap?
