OFA stays unbeaten in baseball, lacrosse

Apr. 12—POTSDAM — Tyler Sovie struck out seven and allowed just two hits and two walks as OFA climbed to 2-0 in NAC Central Baseball with a 13-1 win at Potsdam on Friday. The game was moved to the Sandstoners' diamond because of wet field conditions at OFA.

In NAC Boys Lacrosse action OFA climbed to 5-0 with a 14-5 win at Plattsburgh.

OFA 13 — Potsdam 1: After scoring twice in the first inning and Blue Devils broke loose for six runs on three hits in the top of the second. Haydin McDonald singled, scoring three runs, Tyler Sovie singled, scoring one run, Camden Griffith drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nicholi Ramsdell grounded out, scoring one run.

Haydin McDonald (4 runs scored) and Camden Griffith each singled with two RBIs and Lucca LaBella, Tyler Sovie, Madden West, Maddox Brenno (double), and Cole Samarco each collected one hit. Nicholi Ramsdell added an BRI and McDonald and LaBella each stole multiple bases for OFA which swiped eight stolen bases for the game.

Isaac Atkinson and Graham Rozler each produced one hit for Potsdam.
