The IndyCar Series season continues on the streets of Long Beach, California, encircling the city's convention center.
Kyle Kirkwood won pole position for today's 90-lap race on the 11-turn, 1.968-mile circuit will include 200 seconds of push-to-pass, enabled in 20-second increments. The race had been 85 laps in previous years.
Five sets primary (hard) and five sets alternate (soft) to be used during the weekend. Teams fielding a rookie driver may use one additional set of primary tires. Teams must use one set of primary and one set of new (sticker) alternate tires for at least two laps in the race.
Alex Palou won the first two races of the 2025 season and is trying to become the first driver to win the first three races of a year since Scott Dixon — the defending Long Beach winner — did so in 2020.
Dixon has won Long Beach three times, has 299 career top-10 finishes and will extend his series record with his 342nd consecutive start.
