What was a topsy-turvy regular season full of twists and turns, not to mention reinvention, is finally over for the Los Angeles Lakers. They finished with a 50-32 record and hold the third seed in the Western Conference, and many believe they have at least a puncher's chance of reaching the NBA Finals and possibly winning it all.
They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs. Minnesota appears to have somewhat of a mishmash of players, but they do have Anthony Edwards, one of the game's best players and someone who can win games almost by himself at times. Edwards, a high-flying 6-foot-4 guard, has been compared by some to Michael Jordan and late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.
Game 1 of this series will take place on Saturday, April 19, at Crypto.com Arena and will start at 5:30 Pacific time.
Lakers-Wolves Game 1 is Saturday at 8:30 ET/5:30 PT and will be aired on ABC.

This will be the first time the Lakers have had home-court advantage in a playoff series since 2012. When they won the NBA championship in 2020, they earned the top seed in the West, but the entire postseason was played on a neutral court inside of the Walt Disney World Resort bubble.
