Nottingham Forest Willing to Make Groundbreaking Transfer for £62M-Rated PSG, Arsenal Target

Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured Matheus Cunha with a long-term contract extension, despite strong interest in him during the winter transfer window.

Rumors surrounding his future persist, as Cunha has quickly become a key figure for Wolves, shining in various attacking roles.

Whether he’s playing as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or center-forward, the Brazilian has adapted seamlessly and made a significant impact.

His performances have reportedly caught the attention of top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, all of which are said to be keeping tabs on him, according to Fichajes.

Although Wolves highly value Cunha, reports suggest they could consider offers over €70 million. Sky Sports News also revealed that Nottingham Forest made a club-record bid of around £60 million for him during the winter window.

Nottingham Forest are ready to break club record move

TalkSPORT reported on Saturday that Nottingham Forest are planning a club-record move for Matheus Cunha if they qualify for the Champions League.

Forest had made inquiries about Cunha in January, but Wolves made it clear they weren’t willing to sell. The Brazilian has since signed a new contract at Molineux, which includes a £62 million release clause that becomes active this summer.

Currently, Elliott Anderson holds the title of Forest’s most expensive player at £35 million.

Nuno Espirito Santo has led the Tricky Trees to a remarkable third place in the Premier League with nine games remaining. They are seven points ahead of sixth-place Newcastle, and based on the current UEFA coefficient rankings, the top five clubs in England will qualify for next season’s Champions League.
