Chelsea, Man Utd Get Boost as No Club Yet to Make Formal Offer for £35M-Rated PSG Target
Last October, reports indicated that Paris Saint-Germain had identified River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono as a top transfer target. If the Ligue 1 club pushes forward with a deal, they might have one less rival in the race for the Argentine teenager.
Mastantuono’s release clause is currently set at €40 million but will increase to €45 million in the final 10 days of the transfer window. While PSG remain interested, Diario AS journalist Eduardo Burgos reports that Manchester United are also closely monitoring him.
Other top European clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea, are also keeping tabs on Mastantuono. ESPN Argentina adds that Manchester United are particularly eager to sign him and are preparing a bid for January.
What’s the latest on Franco Mastantuono?
According to Fichajes, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea are all eyeing Franco Mastantuono, one of Argentina’s most promising young talents. The 17-year-old River Plate playmaker has drawn interest from several European giants, who have been closely monitoring his development.
With a release clause set at £35 million, Mastantuono is an appealing option for Premier League clubs looking to invest in young talent. While interest is growing, no formal offers have been made yet, but with multiple teams in the mix, his future could be decided in the coming months.
