Alexis Saelemaekers’ future remains unresolved as the season winds to an end.
Arriving on loan to Roma from Milan in the summer, the Belgian winger convinced everyone, so much so that Florent Ghisolfi has been working for a long time to redeem him.
The obstacle, however, remains the agreement with the Rossoneri, with whom there is currently no formal agreement for a permanent signing.
In the meantime, the performances of the former Anderlecht player have not gone unnoticed outside of Italy either.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Nottingham Forest – the true revelation of the season in the Premier League – have set their sights on Roma’s number 56.
The English club is said to be ready to offer around 25 million euros, a figure that would satisfy Milan and allow for a capital gain.
However, the destination does not excite the player, who is determined to stay in the capital and continue his journey in the Giallorossi jersey.
Tammy Abraham could simplify the negotiation. The English striker, involved last year in a loan with Milan parallel to that of Saelemaekers to Roma, is carving out space and trust under the guidance of Conceiçao. Recent performances have convinced the Rossoneri club, which is reportedly evaluating the possibility of a confirmation for next season as well.
In this scenario, Ghisolfi is reportedly thinking of a double deal: starting a negotiation from scratch that leads to the definitive purchase of Saelemaekers by Roma and, in parallel, the permanent sale of Abraham to Milan.
A combination that would satisfy all parties involved, with the two players happy to remain at their current clubs and the clubs ready to build their future on a more stable basis.
