Former Roma sporting director Ramon Monchi Rodriguez reflected on the hardships faced during his spell in Italy.
The current sporting director of Aston Villa commented on his experience at Roma in an interview with Sky Sport.
The Spanish executive, whose decision-making at the club in the capital has often been the subject of criticism from the fans, has highlighted the difficulties encountered during his time in the capital.
“”Bringing players to Roma wasn’t easy, it’s a huge club with a lot of pressure,” said Monchi.
“Aston Villa is becoming the same because we’re growing a lot. At Roma it wasn’t easy because it’s a team where you have to always earn money.”
