Florida State hosted its seventh practice of the spring on Tuesday and it ended up being a relatively busy day on campus.
Four-star RB target Carsyn Baker visited campus for the first time and the Seminoles made a 'great first impression'. More on his visit can be read here.
Additionally, three-star tight end target Landen Miree made his way down from Cincinnati, Ohio, to get his first look at the Seminoles. He recapped the first day of his multi-day visit, here.
While those were the highlights, here is what else transpired on the recruiting trail on Tuesday.
New potential QB target on campus
Loganville (Ga.) Grayson QB Travis Burgess made his first visit to Florida State's campus on Tuesday and may be a name for Seminole fans to remember as FSU's hunt for a 2026 QB carries on.
Burgess did not come away with an offer on Tuesday but understands that FSU wants the relationship to develop a little bit more. He made it a "priority" to get on campus and he seems intent on hearing Florida State out despite them being a little late to his recruitment. Once he sees where FSU coaches have him on their board, more visits will be decided on. He has official visits set to Auburn, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
With four-star Bowe Bentley excluding the Seminoles from his top schools and with four-star Landon Duckworth trending towards Ole Miss, Florida State is in dire need of options at the quarterback position.
Oklahoma commit Jaden O'Neal is another emerging option. He is set to visit Florida State soon.
Florida State lands second Rivals250 commitment in as many days
Florida State received its second 2027 commitment in as many days with the commitment of Rivals250 DB Bryce Williams.
Williams committed on campus on Tuesday before taking in the spring practice. Read more about what he had to say here.
Florida State offers multiple prospects during practice
A three-star prospect currently committed to Pitt, Thomas excelled during the combine portion of the Rivals Camp Miami over the weekend. The Seminoles became the 10th program to offer Thomas, with other recent offers including Auburn, Kentucky, Purdue and UCF.
