Nic Scourton set to become latest edge prospect visiting with the Eagles before NFL Draft

It's NFL draft season, and after a successful start to the free agent frenzy, things are starting to ratchet up with Round 1 just 20 days from today. The Eagles build through the trenches, and after losing Josh Sweat (Cardinals), Milton Williams (Patriots), and Brandon Graham (retired), the team could be looking to continue getting younger at the position after selecting Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt in back-to-back years.

Top 30 predraft visits are all the rage right now, and Philadelphia is set to host former Texas A&M star edge rusher, Nic Scourton.

Scourton was one of the highest-rated transfers ahead of the 2024 season due to his combination of size and speed. Standing at 6-4, 280 pounds, he had 10 sacks and 50 tackles in his 2023 season at Purdue and finished his career at Texas A&M with five sacks, a forced fumble, 37 tackles, and two passes defended.

Scourton led the Aggies with 14 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks this past season. He plays a physical brand of football on the edge, has the skill-set to play all three downs, and his 90.8 Pro Football Focus pass-rush grade since 2023 tied for eighth among all Power Four edge defenders.
