What will the New York Giants do in the 2025 NFL draft, where they are currently slated to select third overall?
Will they trade up to No. 1 for Miami quarterback Cam Ward? Will they stay put and take Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders? Will they bypass an early first-round quarterback and go with Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter or Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter? Will they trade down?
All of those avenues have been explored and debated by fans, and they're reportedly not alone.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic revealed on a recent episode of Scoop City that the Giants and general manager Joe Schoen are the talk of the NFL, with executives and personnel repeatedly inquiring about what the team might do.
NFL personnel cannot stop asking me about the Giants.

"I get asked by more people about the New York Giants than anything else right now," Russini said," because they're a bit of a wild card. What are they going to do? Are you willing to take that gamble on putting your future on the back of Russell Wilson?"
Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel told Russini he believes they are, noting the team's moves in free agency suggest they view both Wilson and Jameis Winston as more viable options than Sanders or any remaining second-tier quarterbacks from the 2025 class.
If the Giants were to select a quarterback, both Russini and Daniel agree that he would have to start on Day 1 and pick up between 6-8 wins to save head coach Brian Daboll's job. But given how the Wilson and Winston contracts are structured, that scenario seems highly unlikely.
Moreover, Schoen set the stage for the Giants to pass on a quarterback at No. 3 overall while speaking to reporters at the NFL owners' meetings in Florida earlier this month.
"We're in a position where we can take who we think is the best football player at that time," he said. "If it matches up, if the value is right, we can look at many positions and take a guy."
Additionally, odds have shifted away from the Giants selecting Sanders third overall (Carter is the current favorite), while NFL teams have grown increasingly confident they will pass on a quarterback with their first-round pick.
