Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and the Cleveland Browns have continued to generate buzz as the 2025 NFL draft nears.
The Browns seem to be locking in on Colorado's Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, with the No. 2 overall pick. This means they will be passing on a quarterback early in the draft. Now, two different NFL media members have linked Milroe to the Browns as they look to continue to overhaul their quarterback room.
First, Milroe accepted an invitation to the NFL draft green room in Green Bay in just over two weeks. This is notable because the NFL has come out and stated they were going to limit the number of members in the green room due to a capacity issue at the live draft, and they did not want players waiting more than a day.
Then, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah has heard that Cleveland is the team he hears the most in the business of Milroe. FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz then indicated that both the Browns and the Saints have held private workouts for the Alabama quarterback. Schultz states those workouts were described as "impressive" by those whom he spoke to.
So, putting the pieces together, there seems to be movement that would indicate that Milroe is expected to go in the first round. Are the Browns going to be in the business of potentially trading up from the 33rd overall pick in the draft to draft the talented but raw Alabama quarterback?
