A Nebraska basketball player announced his plans to return for the 2025-26 season. Guard Connor Essegian made the big announcement on social media.
Essegian revealed his future plans after scoring 17 points in a victory over Arizona State in the College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas. He's in his first season at Nebraska after spending his first two seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers.
In 30 games this year, he made three starts and averaged 10.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. He was the Cornhuskers' third leading scorer this season behind Juwan Gary and Brice Williams.
Nebraska retakes the floor on Wednesday night when the Huskers play the Georgetown Hoyas. The tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on Fox.
