MSU star guard Jase Richardson is undecided on returning to MSU or going pro

Michigan State star freshman guard Jase Richardson has a big decision ahead of him, and it is one he said he still has to make after talking with loved ones.

Richardson has played his way into the opportunity of leaving early for the NBA Draft after just one season with the Spartans. Richardson is widely considered a lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, which typically means he'll be gone. However, after the Spartans' season-ending Elite Eight loss to Auburn on Sunday, he said he still has made up his mind on what he'll do.

According to a post on social media platform X from Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press, Richardson is going to talk to his parents, agent, Spartans head coach Tom Izzo, other coaches and teammates before deciding if he'll stay for another season or turn pro. Solari added that playing in the Final Four was a lifelong dream for Richardson and is something that will go into his decision.

Here's the full post from Solari:

Richardson emerged as the Spartans' go-to scorer down the stretch of the season. He started the final 15 games of the season for the Spartans, where he averaged 16.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

If Richardson were to return for his sophomore season, Michigan State will become a favorite in the Big Ten next year and a Final Four contender. If he leaves, there will be a big hole for Michigan State to fill on next year's roster.
