Masters champion withdraws from tournament due to injury

There will be one fewer champion in the 89th Masters Tournament field.

Just before 10 a.m. Monday, Vijay Singh informed the competition committee that he would not be playing in the 2025 Masters due to an injury. The 2000 Masters champion was set to make his 32nd career start.

Singh made the cut in 2024, finishing T58. It was his first made cut since 2018. He finished T18 in last weekend's James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational.

With Singh's withdrawal, the tournament field sits at 95.
