Tampa Bay Lightning prospect, Isaac Howard was named one of three finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award on Thursday.
He’s joined by Minnesota Wild defenseman prospect Zeev Buium and Washington Capitals forward Ryan Leonard.
The award is presented yearly to the top NCAA men's hockey player, and will be announced in St. Louis on April 11, one day before the NCAA championship game is played.

Howard was selected by the Lightning in the first round (No. 31) of the 2022 NHL Draft. He was fifth among NCAA players this season with 52 points (26 goals, 26 assists) in 37 games and was named Big Ten Player of the Year with Michigan State.
The 21-year-old tripled his total of eight goals in 36 games from last season and was named to the All-Big Ten First Team.
