Former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is on the move again. After never quite fitting in with the culture of Chicago and the lack of weapons around him, the former NFL first-round draft pick moved on to Pittsburgh where he showed flashes of what he could be but was still stuck behind starter Russell Wilson.
Now, Fields is in the Big Apple after being traded to the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets, and there's some excitement building. Fans in New York are excited to get an extremely athletic and physically gifted quarterback and the potential of what that could mean, but there's another reason fans and media members are excited in Gotham.
That's because Batman -- in this case Fields -- is being reunited with Robin, in this case former OSU receiver and teammate, Garrett Wilson. The 2022 rookie of the year has gone over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first three seasons, and there's a good chance that the history and chemistry with Fields could take the passing game to another level. When asked how he feels about being reunited with his former Scarlet and Gray comic book sidekick, Fields was tempered but excited.
“It’s awesome. Of course, we played together in college. When I saw him, it was really just like the old days. I don’t think our relationship skipped a beat,” Fields told reporters. “I’m definitely excited to play with him, guys like Ruck and Josh Myers. I’m excited for that and things we can do together to get each other better, get back on the same page as we were in college, and communicate, make sure we’re always on the same page when it comes to concepts and routes and what he’s doing in certain situations. But, yeah, I’m definitely excited to be back on the field with him, for sure.”

It should be fun to watch these two pair up again in the passing game, this time with the biggest media market in the world watching. It'll be sink or swim in New York, and we're all here for it.
